Vox Machina‘s New Trailer Hopes You Survive the Experience

The next season of Legend of Vox Machina boasts dragons, romance, and AWOLNATION in its season 3 trailer.

With just over a month to go before Legend of Vox Machina returns, Prime Video’s put out a new trailer that promises to put the adventuring party through the wringer, particuarly on an emotional level.

After grabbing several powerful Vestiges throughout season two that’ll help them kill the Chroma Conclave dragons, Vox Machina is approached by Conclave member Raishan with an enticing offer. She helps them find the remaining Vestiges they need for their quest, and in return, they let her live and direct those powerful artifacts toward the other dragons, and head honcho Thordak in particular. And to get the remaining Vestiges, the gang’s going to have to, in the words of their good pal Kima, “buckle the fuck up.”

Thus another road trip begins! Along with the streets of Marquet from a clip released back at Comic-Con, upcoming travel destinations include icy tundras and demon-filled planes. If the last season put Vox through the wringer, it sounds like they’ll be in for even more pain this time around. Between dying, wrenching themselves free (or coming back to) their deities, and learning about secret kids, the party’s going to start feeling the pressure of the world(s) in their hands. Last week, Travis Willingham (Grog) told Entertainment Weekly this next set of episodes were “going to leave a mark. [We’re] going to test individual characters, and relationships, both familial and of a romantic variety.”

Luckily, they’ll have some helping hands. In that same interview, Sam Riegel (Scanlan) said fan-favorite characters from the first two seasons, like Gilmore and Lady Allura, would get more of a spotlight that Actual Play viewers have been hoping for. There’ll be other guest characters who pop up, but Riegel says they weren’t part of the original Vox Machina campaign. So when they do appear, they’ll make “your jaw hit the floor.”

Legend of Vox Machina returns with new episodes starting October 3 on Prime Video.
